Hello Everyone
Thanks to all who came to see the Eddie Blue and the Storms performance last week and what a great one it was - brilliant band!
Leading on to this month we have another band with marvellous background, being The Motives featuring Matt Taylor. When I first took over the Bottleneck in 2007 (was it really that long ago?) I inherited a 'warm up' CD which was one of Matt Taylor's early productions, it may even have been his first. The CD immediately caught my ear and I knew then that there was a combination of great songwriting and performing skill going on. This year the band have just been nominated in no less than three categories of the British Blues Awards - Best Band, Best Album and Best Keyboard Player. I would therefore say that we have been extremely fortuitous in booking this band before they shoot to the stars completely out of our humble grasp.

So, that's The Motives featuring Matt Taylor appearing Tuesday 28th May. Bookings to me at the return email address, tickets £10. Doors 7.30pm, band on stage 8.45pm. Good food, reasonably priced, available to eat at your table.
